Yep, that's me standing behind THE Wendell Berry. I don't think I have ever smiled bigger in my whole life.
And he was wise, and delightful, and completely charming. He came over to our group and said, slyly, "I was just saying to myself, this group attracts an unusually large number of good-looking women." (say that in your head, real slow with a Kentucky drawl)
Needless to say, a group of the finest classical educators in the whole country immediately turned into a giggling gaggle of starry-eyed fan girls. It was wonderful!

Ok, I want to know two things: What did Kim Elder say to Mr Berry (or what did he say to her) and Whose hand is that on his shoulder?? Lynn Bruce's? Lucky girl!

She says she can't remember what he was saying, something about what a fun group we are. Rule #1 when talking to Wendell Berry: Remember everything he says!!!
